Here is an absolutely brilliant Latin thinker, a man whose sole surviving work all but shaped the nature of the Italian Renaissance, and he is standing in awe of the language of the Greeks as I stand in awe of Latin. To him, his own tongue is too poor to properly convey the ideas of the Greeks! He thinks Latin is too paltry a language to write in! GAH! It things like this that remind me why I love being a little baby Classicist.
